Hannett House, a 10-bed residential assisted living home in Altura Park, was originally the home of Yiayia. Yiayia’s granddaughters have fond memories of fresh bread coming out of her oven and the warmth and love in her home. As the family matriarch, her teachings were of family, love and support. Upon her passing in the early 1990s, her home, was opened as an assisted living by her daughter and son in law, to continue the family legacies of stewardship and caring for seniors in the community.
Residents experience the calm, peaceful environment and the feeling of home. They listen to the windchimes and watch hummingbirds at feeders in the garden, and enjoy the homecooked meals prepared with vegetables grown in the backyard garden.
